Tomorrow

Thursday 2/17/11 will be a Snow Day.

Based on the weather forecast and considering the distances and elevations of the residences of our School population. It is prudent to cancel onsite classes for the sake of safety.

Unfortunately, we will have to postpone the Parent Tea and felting workshop until March 17, and also postpone “Dress up as your Favorite Story Book Character Day” to Thursday March 3^rd.

As independent study/ homeschoolers, school at home should take place as usual. EC meetings will have to happen over the phone, except for Ukiah Residents. If both EC parties live in Ukiah,it would be possible to schedule a meeting there.

Next week Reminder: Monday is Presidents Day, No schoolwork holiday.

Tuesday through Thursday is paperwork week- which means no –onsite classes, with homeschool as usual and EC meetings as usual.

La Vida Turns 10 in 2010!

10 years is a major milestone. Despite all the purse tightening from economic woes,
La Vida looks forward to a fabulous fun and learning filled year. First off
to celebrate La Vida's 10th birthday, a beautiful new website has been created
by Andrew Miller of Digital Realm Production. The clear and radiant design
includes a gorgeous new version of the La Vida sun and moons by artist Lesa Oswell.

The new website includes this 'Life at La Vida' blog which will be the school
community's go to place for what's happening, whether it's a snow day or planning
for the Family Fiesta Fundraiser or sharing relevant educational research. It also
includes a Calendar which will post the school calendar and events. We hope
to post Educational Coordinator,EC, meeting times as well. Anyone can transfer
the school calendar events to one's own personal calendar through
having a gmail account which is free.
